Open Dressmaking Day with special SLEEVES lesson

Sat 23rd June 2018

Hatch End, Harrow, North West London.

Bring your dressmaking, ideas and alterations over to our Hatch End workroom in north west London for our chatty sewing day. Everyone is on hand to help each other and teach whatever techniques your project requires.

This is a free workshop for members of the Otome Sewing Bee facebook group.  As the venue is a private property,  location details are only given out to attendees of the event. It is a 2 min walk from Hatch End station. Parking in available.

Special focus on SLEEVES has been requested. Because lets face it we all avoid doing sleeves. In fact I made it a rule that I was only allowed to make dresses with sleeves this year. 2 down and 2 planned in the near future.. better get cutting. So in the workshop we will learn about drafting sleeve patterns with a worksheet. And there will be a demonstration of putting in a sleeve and different ways to finish the seam allowance on a sleeve arm hole.

As always there is FREE…
… unlimited pattern paper
… OSB fabric/ribbon bin for you to rummage in, great for making up toiles and practising
… sewing equipment + sewing machines + overlocker/serger to borrow
… extensive library of dressmaking and craft books, japanese and historical to look at and photocopy
… tea, coffee, drinks etc

Please bring:
