Jessica Corlett is an arts professional in the broadest sense of the term. Known for her vast range of craft skills, event coordination and her varied 'portfolio career'.
Education and Costume:
Jessica graduated from London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London (2007) with a degree in Costume Design for the Performing Arts. As a new graduate she began wardrobe supervising for smaller films and making for Sky, the Royal Opera and Angels the Costumiers.
Early Career - Assistant Directing:
From 2009 - 2016 Jessica worked as an Assistant Director, coordinating film shoots and crew for UK film and television. She worked on a host of period dramas and blockbusters, some of her personal favourites being The Iron Lady, Downton Abbey and Rush. Latterly she also specialised in directing and managing Child Performers. After many years on film sets, an unexpected series of events found her side stepping from production, back to managing the wardrobe and dressing talent on a cookery show job. This led to more work in styling and fashion and brought her back into the professional world of textiles and costumes.
Today - Arts, Events and Education Work and Costume Artist:
Since 2017 Jessica has been coordinating programmes of arts events and activities, and teaching a variety or creative craft workshops and experiences. She does this alongside freelance costume work in film and tv. She works equally across the arts, entertainment, events and education industries.
In 2022 she completed a CORe Credential of Readiness certificate program at Hazard Business School Online, compromised of 3 courses: Business Analytics, Economics for Managers and Financial Accounting.
